Can Federer really beat Nadal on clay. I don’t think so. One thing that Federer has is a big ego. He wants to beat people in their own game. But, what he is overestimating is his ability to overcome Nadal’s genius on clay. He tries to stay back and dominate Nadal from the baseline which he cannot do. The simple example of it is how his strategy didn’t work at all in his easy loss to Nadal at Monte Carlo. In fact, he has gone away from got him a couple of sets last year against Nadal. He doesn’t pressure Nadal enough and doing that will only get him to the final of the French Open. But beating Nadal in the final with that strategy? No dice!
