Tennis: So much for Federer’s revenge Against Canas

Federer lost for the second straight time to a guy who could as well be on drugs right now. Canas outlasted, but not outplayed, Federer in their 2nd match in 2 weeks to stun the world No. 1. On a personal note, I am getting tired of shaky wins by the Fed and disasterous results against mediocre player. How is it that Canas can’t beat a former good player such as Moya, but he dominates Federer. Was Sampras as dominant as Federer? Maybe not. But, I never watched a Sampras match expecting him to lose just because. With Federer, you do get the feeling that Canas and Nadal are in his heads. Djokovic is a much better player than Canas, but Federer doesn’t have a problem with him. But, Murray and Canas are going to be dealing Mr. Federer most of his losses this year. Is either of them better than Federer? They wish! But, they are more consistent. Federer has apparently stopped practicing Tennis for Golf. Federer players like a God for one set, as he did against Canas, and plays like a world No. 100 for the next two. It has been enough the last few years, but it’s not working against Canas. Federer’s opponents are figuring that out as well. Federer worked so hard to take the first set from Nadal in their last matchup in Shanghai, but then played a godawful game, dropping it to love. Against Canas, he was leading 3-0 in the decisive set, and it is still baffling to me that he lost this huge lead to a player who could barely walk in the third set. Federer fans, I do not think Federer will have the consistency to win the French Open this year or the next or the year after that. The sad part is that Sampras didn’t have the game, but Federer doesn’t have the heart.
