A story popped up today about a man who has sold 6 iPhones on eBay for an average price of $1100+. But, iPhones are not available till later this year, so how can one sell an item that is not released yet. Well, either he has great connections within Apple and has managed to steal a couple from here or there within Apple Inc, or the guy is simply using iPhone and the community’s poor knowledge of the release date to steal people’s money. Either way, eBay did a great job of closing these listings before people lost their money.
