The movie 300 is ruling the box office, and it sounds like a decent movie. But, it has not been without controversy as it depicts Persians as almost demons. Many Iranians have held demonstrations throughout the U.S. and Europe against this movie and how it depicts their rich culture. A rather similar argument could be made for Borat. Borat is even worse as it decimates the culture of that region. But, should movies be taken seriously? Is this the American way of getting Iran back for not cooperating on the Nuclear issue?
