WordPress has just released WordPress 2.0.9 and 2.1.1 as they are trying to patch up the security issues that earlier versions are suffering from. I happen to have a site that is running on an earlier version of WordPress, and for some reason people have found a way to automatically post a millions of bogus comments to it. I do have the security plugins available on my site, but it’s just not working. So, my take on this is that you need to update yesterday in order to avoid yourself and your site a lot of pain.
