Blogging Not A Sure Thing for Already Employed?

One would think that Blogging should be acceptable if you manage to do it in your free time, right? Wrong! Companies do not want their employees to go overboard with their blogs. After all, you are associated with your employers, and it is important to them that you behave while you are online.I have heard stories about how they even track what you do with your PC when you at home, which is crazy to say the least. These days companies look at their employees as assets. Of course, these assets should be protected by all means, and security policies such as digital snooping is only one way to protect employees from themselves. But is that ethical? What happens if your kid decides to use your PC. His/her online activities will be tracked as well, right? Shouldn’t that be illegal? Well, it seems nowadays the U.S. Government justifies everything with “war on terrorism’ clause. Anything that is in the grey area of the law is perfectly acceptable as long as you throw a terrorism word around. What do you think? Is that legal to track every single activity of employees?
