Digg Trademark Fiasco

I was reading tech news a couple of days ago, and I found an interesting article on Digg.com’s trademarking their name Digg. Aparently, these guys have contacted anybody who has a site with the word “digg” in its domain. That got to be a joke. Some of these websites have been around longer than Digg.com. I think it’s unfair to ask a site owner that has owned a site for let’s say 10 years to give it up just because Digg.com is around. What happens to Diggold.com? A site like that is clearly not violating any trademark laws as you are actually digging gold and not an old digg, if you will. The same goes for Diggames.com. Many site owners are upset with the fact that they have to give up their cherished domain names because of digg.com. But, what can you do? Tell us what you think is right here.
