TV Disaster: Stupid shows, more stupid commercials!
May 15, 2008 on 5:47 pm | In Thoughts | No CommentsI have personally never been able to really justify the bill that I pay for my cable TV services. The thing about cable TV is that there is nothing good one when you can actually watch TV. Of course, good programs are onwhen you are at work or asleep. But how stupid have commercials gotten these years. I have seen pretty much everything from cavemen to animals talking with British accent about car insurance. But when you put a fat lady as the spokesman for a weight loss program, it just goes on to show that these people think of us viewers as complete idiots.
Now it doesn’t take a genius to realize that a weight loss commercial would be more effective if you actually use a fit person (preferably someone who has been fat before and lost a lot of weight). But what message are you sending if you use a fat person for your weight loss program (that you will lose weight even though our system doesn’t even work for our so called spokesmen?). Now that’s what I call a stupid commercial. But then again there is the gecko.
Election In The U.S. Has Become A Nightmare That Never Ends!
May 12, 2008 on 5:17 pm | In Thoughts | No CommentsSuch a promising start to the election and such a disappointing finish. People talked about how different this election is from other years as we have a woman and an African American running for the office. But a few months later these guys have torn each other apart and have shown that regardless of your gender and nationality, if you are politician, you tend to act like a snake. You try to bite your rival first to ground them down. I was very impressed with Obama at the start, but now, who really cares. Same old politics, same old stuff.
The Boss From Hell?
April 2, 2008 on 5:43 pm | In Business | No CommentsWhich boss would you prefer to have? Someone who does nothing and gives you all stupid tasks to do or the one who claims that he has no agenda and the best idea wins whether its his/hers or yours or whomevers?
No End In Sight For The Democratics
March 30, 2008 on 3:58 pm | In Politics | No CommentsIt seems like this election is going to go on until the very last minute. I didn’t expect it to go any other way as Clinton is willing to sacrifice everything to win. She is not worried about you and I or the future of this country, like she says. She is more worried about her legacy and the money that she loaned to her campaign. This election was so promising early on, but has become a drag with Democrats heavy negative attacks on each other. In case of Clinton and Obama, you can be a good politician or a bad one, but at the end of the day, you are a politician ( I would use a similar analogy for snakes).
UFC: Brock Lesnar vs. Mark Coleman
March 1, 2008 on 8:45 pm | In Sports | No CommentsAt UFC 82, Mark Coleman, the HOF’er announced that he will be fighting Brock Lesnar in his own backyard. So Brock Lesnar is now being thrown a bone to kick start his UFC career against a legend of the UFC. Mark it down: Brock Lesnar’s next opponent and victim is Coleman!
Clinton, Get a Life!
February 21, 2008 on 8:56 pm | In Politics | No CommentsI am so sick of people claiming victory for Clinton after every single debate. Tonight she came out against Obama swinging and making sharp comments about Obama and specially the plagiarism issue that her campaign has worked so hard to stick to Obama. At the end, she managed to steal, yet again, another Edwards line. In fact, savvy reporters were able to find the exact line that Edwards used to close his debate a while back. What Clintons are trying to do is not plagiarism. It’s trickery, and Clintons should be ashamed of themselves for using every tactic under the sun to win a stupid campaign. Of course, to these people the only thing that matters is the glamor of living in the white house and all the power that comes with it. I am probably not old enough to say this, but I have not seen anyone shameless as Clintons, and that is why I won’t vote for them if they are the last people alive on this earth.
End Of Format War: Blu-Ray KOs HD-DVD
February 15, 2008 on 7:41 pm | In Technology, Thoughts | No CommentsTwo great formats with one common purpose. To bring High Definition 1080P and above to our homes. Well, this world is two big for two formats and one had to go. This time it was HD-DVDs turn to go. Today Walmart announced that they will too drop HD-DVD to carry only Blu-Ray in the future. Industry experts are now claiming that Toshiba will phase out HD-DVD without too much fuss and admit it has lost the format war II. Of course in a consumer driven economy, there will always be a format war (often ones that consumers don’t win). But I am glad we all can now focus on Blu-Ray for the next few years before the next great format comes out. By the way, that PS3 investment now seems to have been justified ![]()
Ethical, Legal, or Religion?
February 12, 2008 on 5:10 pm | In Thoughts | No CommentsHere is the million dollar question. If you were faced with a decision that was ethical, but not legal or legal but not ethical, which one would you choose? How about if you add religion to this equation? What if your decision is right by your decision but not legal? Tough question, isn’t it?

Will it be Clinton vs. Mccain?
January 30, 2008 on 5:14 pm | In Politics | No CommentsNot really a fan of politics but I am astonished by the number of former front runners and hopefuls that have dropped out after only a handful of primaries. So will it be Clinton vs. John McCain? It surely seems like it today.
